We loved this hotel!!!! We were there for our honeymoon. The Villa is so romantic, and Rinna is the sweetest lady. She is a fantastic cook and a dear guide of the area. We sincerely hope to return. Fabulous views of the Amalfi Coast as well.. I can't say enough- we are so happy finding this romantic treasure amid the lemon groves..we miss Rinna!

Be ready to climb. There are a lot of steps. However, it makes sense- Amalfi is a town of cliffs hanging over the beaches, and you'll be staying perched up on a cliff. I thought it was totally charming and worth a climb up! I personally wouldn't want to stay in the noisy town center.

Rina cooked gourmet Italian dinners for us as well as breakfasts. The comfortable rooms have balconies that look over the Amalfi Coast.

We booked Villa Rina after reading some great reviews. We were not disappointed. The view is exceptional. The food is all prepared by Rina and is excellent. We ate breakfast and dinner on the terrace which was a thoroughly enjoyabe experience. The villa is surrounded by lemon trees, grave vines and vegetable gardens and is quiet and completely private. Rina is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. This villa is unique in that there are approx 100 steps to climb to reach it. Worth the effort, book it!

This hotel is an absolute gem. It is set on the hillside in a citrus grove, overlooking the bay and yes, it's absolutely stunning! Best of all though, has to be the owner of the Villa, she is incredibly welcoming and friendly and makes you the most delicious, home-cooked, real Southern Italian food, most of which she has grown in her garden! We had the best time - it was more like staying with family.

There is only one small point to note - the villa is only accessible by quite a few stairs... There is a very strong chap who takes your bags for you but you do need to be in reasonble shape to cope with them.

Fantastic place thrown up on the hillside around 15 min walk from the center of Amalfi town. Rina is an absolutely lovely woman who has created a gorgeous house situated in an orchard with tons of fresh herbs, fruit, veggies and eggs which she uses to cook heavenly food. The house is a newly renovated 14th century building and the rooms are perfect with the best view you can get in Amalfi. We loved Bonnie the dog as well!

It's a fairly steep walk back from town but you need that after the all the gorgeous italian food!

    Fabulous

Rina herself, and that they now have a historic book about the migration age in their household.

I felt in love to Villa Rina! Wounderful, excuisit place with magnific view at Amalfi coast, nice design and home atmosphere of this historic house. The owner, Signora Rina, is a very friendly person, a real Lady. I had a dinner - it was really distinguished!

It is impossible to reach the hotel by car - you have to leave the car at the road side and to climb up few hundred stars.

    Fabulous

It was like staying in a traditional family home, with amazing home cooking and Rina went out of her way to help her guests make the most of their stay.

It was a long walk uphill back to the hotel, which was tough in the blazing sun, but this is a minor concern.

    Fabulous

Rina's home cooked food made from ingredients grown in her garden and lots of fresh fish from the local market was outstanding. It was great to eat like real Italians especially after the substandard fare we were often subject to as tourists in the cities.

The stairs (about 400-500 steps from Amalfi town to the villa on the hillside) are tough in the summer heat. But if you wish there are frequent buses that take you about two thirds of the way before you have to start climbing.

Lovely lovely villa!! Everything is so perfectly managed by Rina, the owner and her staff. Our room had a jaguzzi and a terrace overlooking the sea, and the view was stunning. The dinner was great too with healthy home-made pasta, fresh vegetable & fruits from their garden, fresh fish and house wine(from their own vineyard!). Definitely we want to go back!

The villa is located on a steep hill and you need to walk up for about 10-15mins from Amalfi town or parking on public road.(A staff will come to help you with luggages.) It was not a problem for us and it definitely was worth walking up(for the view and everything!), but can be tough for some people.

Villa Rina is Mrs. Rina! Villa Rina is kindness, genuininity, familiar with an amazing panoramic view on the gulf. You will taste all the products made with passion by her on her land.

The hostess is very hospitable and helpful. She allocated her Russian-speaking employees to help us feel at home even despite the fact that we do not speak Italian. We enjoyed a spectacular view and access to the villa's garden. One may say that the stairs leading to the beach are too many but the view and the exercise make the climb pleasant. We liked our stay very much and wish to return.

    Nothing negative
